Caterham-Pectel-DescProW 1.1-Idle RPM

Postby liegev on Fri Jul 30, 2010 4:35 pm

Good Afternoon!

I've got a bit of an issue, I'll first describe the issue and then the details of what I'm working with.

I am working on a car for a family member. There is a screw on the throttle body that sets the zero point for the throttle, since the engine was last mapped this
zero position has changed. I would like to adjust the ECU to compensate for this change. It is idling just a bit to high at the moment. I am more familiar with the Haltec hardware and software the terminology in DescproW bewilders me.

The car is a Caterham R500 Zetec Engine with a pectel ECU.
DescproW on Windows 7 is working and I am able to make changes to the ECU.

The engine is currently idling at about 2000. I'd like to have the ecu take it down from there to about 1000.

Thanks is advance.
C.

Does the car have an idle air control valve?
